At Catholic DBT we are committed to two things: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and fidelity to our Catholic faith.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a treatment for those with strong emotions. DBT was originally designed for persons with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and it is the best treatment for persons with BPD. However, research has since shown that DBT can be beneficial for many different types of mental health issues. These include depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, anger, and more.

Our Catholic therapists offer online DBT skills classes from a Catholic perspective.

It’s true, I suffer a great deal—but do I suffer well? That is the question.
— St. Thérèse of Lisieux

Online DBT Skills Classes

In a classroom like setting, clients learn and practice a variety of DBT skills to improve their quality of life. Our class is unique. We make additions and modifications, to offer DBT from a Catholic perspective.

The next round will begin in the fall.

God sends us friends to be our firm support in the whirlpool of struggle.
— Saint Maximilian Kolbe

About Us

At Catholic DBT, we are dedicated to providing Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT) from a Catholic perspective. Our therapists are practicing Catholics, committed to offer the highest quality DBT from a Catholic perspective.

Working from a Catholic perspective means we work within a framework that embraces a biblical understanding of personhood; we hold and affirm Catholic values and social teaching; and we approach every client in a spirit of Christian charity.
